About Goompy

Goompy is a small Australian-owned clothing brand creating bold, original designs for people who want something different.

The name Goompy comes from my childhood and has stayed with me over the years. I grew up on 10 acres in a busy home with a big family, and because my parents fostered many children, there were always kids around, noise, energy and life happening everywhere.

When I was young, I had a pet pig named Goompy. He was the best pig, and I spent so much time with him. His pen became a happy little place for me — somewhere I could play, breathe and enjoy a quiet moment in a very full house.

Over time, Goompy became more than just the name of my pig. It became my nickname too.

When my husband and I started this brand, we wanted a name that was personal, original and memorable. Goompy felt right because it carried a real story, a real memory and a part of who I am.

Today, Goompy is about creativity, individuality and standing out from the ordinary. Every design is created from our own ideas, and every piece is made for people who like clothing with personality, meaning and attitude.

Every Goompy design is created by us from our own ideas. We do not copy or mass-produce other people’s artwork. Our goal is to create bold, original designs that feel unique, expressive and recognisably Goompy.
